For the digital photographer, the monitor is playing a more critical role in their workflow than ever, as photographers edit images in ever-more detail, in rich and vivid colour. LG’s new 34-inch monitor screen, the LG 34UC97, has an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and should be more than big enough for multi-tasking between selecting photos and editing, simultaneously and without the distraction of glare.

Key features of the LG 34UC97:

  • 3440 x 1440 QHD resolution
  • Connects to Mac systems via Thunderbolt2, and allows for the connection of data storage devices through the monitor
  • Clocks in data transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps – four times faster than that of USB 3.0
  • There’s an input device control function, with which you can view the photos of an DSLR on the display without connecting the camera to the console PC
  • Curved view with IPS with top tier colour range of sRGB over 99%

This professional-grade display looks to have all the worthy components to appeal to pros thirsty for immersive viewing, and for impressive presentations to clients. Take a look at the video above to find out more about what LG’s new product has to offer.
